things are finally starting to come together

Well, we finally have all of our vendors in order, many of whom are doing us huge favors! I won't be able thank these folks enough for the roles they'll be playing on our special day. Everything is in motion so we can start hammering out some final details and get our act officially together.

We would really love to get some personalized time set up with each of our out of town guests. There will be so many family members that we may not get to see again for quite some time, it feels really important to me that we get take a moment to make a memory outside of the wedding. Getting a plan going for that is my next project. :-)

WE GOT A PHOTOGRAPHER!

a few weeks ago i was searching on craigslist for a photographer that would work gratis. The only person I found wanted to only do free new born photography, all this time passed and I had totally forgotten about the email when this email rolled in... apparently the  girl i emailed had passed on my information to another student at her school! Renee Ihm is now  our photographer! 

She has some time left in school and we are going to help her build her portfolio and we honestly can't thank her for the opportunity. Below is a link to her facebook account check her out.

Update time!

Sorry it's been a while since the last update, I did want to say we have booked a DJ, Pat Calvo from Ft. Lauderdale is an awesome guy and he is gonna be making the trek to Tampa to keep the party moving.  We are still expecting some RSVP's, If you got on and forgot to mail it or lost it in some unforeseen situation no big deal. Just make sure you let us know before the 15 so  we can finalize things...

SITE IS DONE!!!!

Finally got the site done... well like 95% done, a few more update but the layout is done and all the pages are up... the blog doesn seem to be working in chromium, probably not chrome either... but firefox seems good. Um anyone still use IE? Didn't think so.

Anyway enjoy it and feel free to leave feed back.

the dress has arrived!

The dress came in yesterday and I've spent all evening adding crystal beads to the top. Next ill start playing with lace and see where that takes me. I have to admit that adding beads to any object is kind of my thing, but actually SEWING lace onto it is intimidating. Or maybe its exciting. Or both!

It's been a productive day

Mark's wedding ring came in today! And he's totally in love with it.

We also finished up the invitations today, with the help of my awesome, wonderful mother. We've been slowly making progress on them, weekend by weekend, and they are almost ready to send out. I just have to slap some stamps on them and drop them in the mail. I'd say be on the lookout, but only a couple people will see this BEFORE they get the invitation, and they probably already know about the invitations. :-)


That's all the news for now. Waiting for my dress to come (due on thursday or friday) and then I can start embellishing it. It's a pretty simple dress, so I'm going to be blinging it up a bit and adding some lace and maybe ribbons and stuff to it. We'll see if I can keep it classy. I have high hopes for this dress. It will actually be my third dress. The first two were what my dad would call 'el cheapo' dresses from China, and they were just not built for an American body...I'll elaborate if asked, but otherwise just assume that there was no way I could possibly alter my body to get into either of them.

The web site is up, kind of. Alyse is working to get thing just right. We are still ironing out some details about the wedding but we should have the invitations ready to mail in the next day or two.
